Is it permissible for the pilgrim in ihram to put a bandage on his knee because it is hurting him?

Is it permissible for the person who is doing ‘umrah to put a bandage on his knee because he feels pain in it?.

Praise be to Allaah.

Yes, it is permissible for the pilgrim who is doing ‘Umrah or Hajj to put a bandage on his leg to support it if it is hurting him, and even if it is not hurting him, if that will serve a purpose for him. Bandages and the like are not regarded as clothing. End quote.
